Overview
Metrik helps users track personal metrics, habits, goals, progress, and optional social updates. This Privacy Policy explains what information Metrik collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information. If you create an account, Metrik may collect information such as your email address, display name, user ID, profile image, and authentication details needed to operate your account.
Metric and entry data. Metrik stores the metrics you create, goals you set, entries you log, notes, timestamps, streaks, points, leaderboard information, and related progress data.
Apple Health data. If you choose to connect Apple Health, Metrik may request permission to read supported data such as step count and walking or running distance. Metrik only accesses Apple Health data after you grant permission. You can manage Apple Health permissions in your iPhone settings.
Friends and sharing data. If you use community features, Metrik may store friend connections, friend requests, comments, reactions, shared check-ins, and leaderboard activity. Information you choose to share may be visible to your friends inside the app.
Support communications. If you contact support, Metrik may collect your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond.
Technical information. Metrik may collect app diagnostics, crash information, device type, app version, and similar technical data to improve reliability and security.
How we use information
- To provide, operate, and improve Metrik.
- To save and sync your metrics, entries, goals, and progress.
- To show charts, streaks, points, levels, leaderboards, and community features.
- To provide Apple Health-connected features when you authorize them.
- To respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.
- To protect the app, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
Health data
Metrik does not sell Apple Health data. Metrik does not use Apple Health data for advertising or third-party tracking. Health data is used only to provide features you choose to enable inside Metrik.
Third-party services
Metrik may use third-party services to provide app functionality, including authentication, cloud storage, database hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and infrastructure. These providers may process information as needed to operate Metrik.
Sharing
Metrik does not sell your personal information. Metrik may share information with service providers that help operate the app, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
Your choices
- You can add, edit, or delete certain metric entries inside the app.
- You can manage Apple Health permissions through iOS settings.
- You can choose whether to use friend, sharing, and leaderboard features.
- You can request account deletion and data deletion as described below.
Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data inside the app or by contacting us at support@getmetrik.app. Some information may be retained when required by law, for security, or for legitimate business purposes such as preventing abuse.
Children
Metrik is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice inside the app or on this website.
